City of San Diego – Library Foundation, Malcolm X Library Teen Center

This project included renovations to the original Literacy Center that transformed the space into a new Teen IDEA Lab. The scope included new finishes, such as carpet, vinyl floors, paint, and new millwork. No existing walls were demolished and no new walls were constructed. However, there were updated lighting and mechanical ducting modifications. The project scope also included refurbishing the existing Computer Lab into the Legler Benbough Teen IDEA Lab, a technology lab offering training programs and classes for teens to build 21st century job skills, and renovating the old administrative office into a small sound studio.
