The Boardroom + Auditorium Refresh Project will improve the audio visual components of both spaces, completely gut and remodel the boardroom, and continue to support the use of both rooms as Sharp’s main command center.
This design-build project breaks down into three phases: Phase 1 is primarily to replace the existing A/V equipment on the back wall of the auditorium; Phase 2 entails the replacement of the two existing rear projection screens on the front wall with two multi-screen video walls; and Phase 3 will include the full gut renovation of the boardroom, as well as the addition of two (2) water bottle fillers in the auditorium and one (1) Elkay water bottle filler in the boardroom.
The project team will provide an added furred wall on the east wall between the auditorium and the boardroom. This wall will provide anadded acoustical barrier between rooms. It will also provide convenient TV niches that result in a clean, sleek finish on the wall.
The team will also be altering the ceiling design by eliminating the window wall soffit and carrying the entire ceiling at a common elevation.
As the work is being performed in a occupied building, careful attention must be paid to noise mitigation measures and work must be scheduled off-hours.
