This project included the renovation of existing shell spaces within the SME Building and transforming them into wet laboratories for chemical, biological and nano engineering research. This renovation included the fit-out of these spaces with casework, fume hoods, biosafety cabinets, laboratory accessories, and new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. Modifications to the existing building’s mechanical systems were required as part of this work effort. In addition, accessibility components within the path of travel required upgrades.
