USD – Aromas Cafe

This project included the renovation of the existing café located on the first floor of the Maher Hall Building. The scope of work included the renovation of existing finishes into new non-load bearing walls, millwork, insulation, doors, carpet, a walk-in cooler, painting, ceiling fans, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and fire alarm. Additionally, the team created a 2hr fire rated assembly by mono-coating the underside of the metal deck ceiling prior to building a new drop ceiling throughout the space. The preexisting terrazzo floor that was a feature of the original building was also refinished.
